I had beautiful visit to the kings palace. To think that how many years it has survived and how many hundreds years of history it has then it really looks amazing. First when arriving then you can see there are watch guards in traditional costumes watching the kingdom. I tried to make photos with some of them like any other tourists who were there and they were very kind and let to make the photos. I havent seen something so amazing for long time. It was just so huge. The ticket to the entrance costed 3000 won and i also asked about the map. In korea is really sunny most of the time and thats why you can see that most of koreans walk always around with umbrellas. First i entered into the kings palace entrance building and there i had to take out my shoes. in korea everything looks very clean. Then i continued walking in all these beautiful palaces and at the end of courtyard there is beautiful garden surrounded by water and flowers in it. I did so many photos. I noticed there was kids playing and did photo of them until they came up and wanted to do photo as well. They were so cute. I understood why there was so many kids playing because next to the garden is children museum of Koreas National Folk museum. I didn't visit the children museum this time but i went to see the ordinary exhibition of National Folk Museum of Korea. It as very interesting. There was shown all the korean history beginning from early ages up to nowadays. I wish i had paper with me to write it all down. Koreans have long history going back to the time where they started to have small village close to Han river. Now Han river is dividing Soul into north and south sides. And has 39 bridges crossing over the river.
There are some bridges that you can also way over but usually the best way in seoul is to take the subway because distances are usually quite far. Taxi in Seoul is actually quite cheap so thats what sometimes seoul people do going from one place to the other.
ENTRANCE OF KINGS PALACE, GWNAGWHAMUN GATE AND THE PALACE WALL
Gyeongbokung Palace is surrounded by five meter high walls that extend over 2404 meters. The walls are pierced by four large gates: Geonchunmun to the east,Gwanhwamun to the south, Yeongchumun to the west, and Sinmumun to the north. The names,in that order, symbolize spring and wood, summer and fire, autumn and metal, winter and water , and originate from the yin and yang concept and the theory of the five elements. The main entrance is Gwanghwamun and it has lion statue, who is called Haetae.during the Jaseoun period these statue were located about 80 meters away but now its been builded back to close to the entrance.
